This Position Will:

Provides direct care and supervision of clients within the milieu in accordance with the agency treatment program including Agency Behavior Treatment Plan (ABTP) and Universal Rules. Under direct supervision of Teaching staff, provides assistance in the area of instruction and classroom management to ensure a quality learning environment for the students. Under the direct supervision on the Unit Coordinator, implements individual and group programming on the units during non-school days.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

REQUIRED:

  1. High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  2. Paraprofessional license (obtained within 30 days)
  3. Demonstrated proficiency in skills for basic math, reading, language arts and other core academic subject areas or vocational education.
  4. Per DCFS regulations, must be at least 21 years of age.
  5. Valid Driver’s License and good driving record

DESIRED:

  1. Minimum of six (6) months of related experience preferably in a special education environment.
  2. Experience in a residential or therapeutic day school setting
  3. School Bus Driver Permit

Salary:

From $16.00 per hour
