Allendale Women’s Board Brings Aspen Magic to Lake Forest

This February, the Allendale Women’s Board turned up the heat and brought the glitz of the Colorado Rockies to Lake Forest with their inaugural Après Ski | Aspen event—and what a night it was!

Held at Conway Farms Golf Club, the venue transformed into a chic alpine escape, blending cozy mountain charm with high-end glamour. Guests gathered under the stars on heated patios surrounded by glowing fire pits, while the clubhouse served as a “warming hut” and stylish retreat. With plush “yurts”, delectable gourmet bites curated by One Off Hospitality’s celebrity chef Paul Kahan, and craft cocktails flowing all night, the event delivered a slice of Aspen’s après-ski culture—no lift ticket required.

The fashion? Absolutely on point. Attendees brought their A-game in luxurious alpine-inspired looks—think chunky knits, furs, and retro ski vibes that perfectly captured the spirit of the slopes with a dash of runway flair.

Outside, the party buzzed with energy as DJ “Sleepy Eagz” kept the beats going, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening of dancing, mingling, and philanthropy.

But the atmosphere wasn’t the only thing that dazzled. Thanks to a stunning collaboration with Casterline | Goodman Gallery, Hilton Contemporary Gallery, Lisa Kinzelberg, Gemini Builds It, and Elizabeth Scott Design, the clubhouse was transformed into a curated art haven. Each piece on display was specially curated for the event, adding an extra layer of sophistication and exclusivity.

And the best part? This wasn’t just a fabulous party—it was a night with purpose. The generosity of our amazing sponsors like PCA, Ferrari Lake Forest, Schaeffer Wealth Management, The Traeger Family and others, along with the incredible support of attendees, helped raise over $213,000 to support Allendale’s mission. These vital funds will go toward programs that provide therapeutic and educational services for children who have experienced severe trauma, vocational training for brighter futures, and family support initiatives that foster long-term stability.

“Together, we can help children and families rewrite their stories of resilience and success,” said Karen Anderson, President of Allendale Women’s Board & Co-Chair of the Après Ski l Aspen event. “Thank you for being part of our journey and for believing in the power of hope, healing, and community!”

For decades, the Allendale Women’s Board has been a powerhouse of advocacy and support, ensuring that some of Illinois’ most vulnerable youth and families have access to the care, tools, and resources they need to heal and thrive. This year’s Après Ski | Aspen event was a shining example of what happens when community, creativity, and compassion come together.
