Chief Clinical Officer

Full-Time, Exempt


The Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) is responsible for providing leadership and oversight in the development, implementation, and monitoring of initiatives to assure high quality clinical service delivery across all programs which includes Outpatient Services, Foster Care programs, community-based support and stabilization services as well as the therapeutic services for Residential and Educational programs. The CCO supports the development and implementation of tools and training curriculum and implements policies and procedures that promote a culture of Trauma-Informed care through activities that: establish models of practice that are effective and efficient; assess and improve service capacity; assure training and competency of clinical staff and identifies the most current and best practices to support the development and delivery of clinical services in support of Agency mission, goals and objectives.  Consistent with principles of trauma-informed care, youth-driven and family-focused treatment within facility and community-based best practice models supported by data-driven decision-making, the CCO shall plan, direct, control and oversee all clinical and community service related policies, operations, budgets, systems and procedures in order to ensure the development, growth, maintenance and quality of programs and services.  Functions as leadership of performance and quality improvement committees as needed.



  1. Ph.D. or Psy.D. in human services related field with specific child and adolescent experience and/or certification. Other human service degrees with independent licensure and related experience may be considered.
  2. Ten years progressively responsible experience in providing and supervising clinical services to children and adolescents.
  3. Five years management experience.
  4. Knowledge and experience with various trauma-informed treatment and behavioral health interventions specific for children and adolescents with severe mental, emotional and behavioral health challenges.
  5. Working knowledge of DCFS, DHS-DMH, Medicaid, and other related federal and state regulations.
  6. Knowledge and experience with accreditation (COA, Joint Commission).
  7. Experience with spreadsheet and word processing software.
